The Great Trentham Spudfest is an annual event that celebrates the rich heritage, culture and produce of the region of Trentham, Victoria, Australia. The festival brings together local potato growers, artisans and food vendors to showcase their products and share their stories. Our mission is to promote the community spirit and togetherness among the people of Trentham and beyond.
We are proud to showcase the best local potato growers, artisans, and food vendors from Trentham and surrounding region.
Our vendors are carefully selected to bring a unique and diverse range of products to The Great Trentham Spudfest each year. From freshly harvested potatoes to handmade crafts, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Come and support our local community and get a taste of the heritage, culture, and produce of Trentham and its region.
Every Sunday of the year, rain, hail, snow or shine with two exceptions. If the market falls on Christmas day or a "Catastrophic" (the highest fire warning level) fire danger day in the central district we will not operate. The market opens at 8am and winds down from 1pm with a close time of 3pm. These times are affected by weather, if it is pouring rain or stinking hot the market will wind down and close earlier.
The market has a left hand rail accessible toilet on the station platform next to the male toilets. There are two accessible parking zones, one on Raglan Street, one in the paddock area. The Raglan Street accessible parking is more suited to wheelchairs for market access. The upper level carpark has stair access to the market so is not suitable for accessible parking. The market pathways can be a little bumpy, we do try and make them smooth traveling but large tree roots have made this difficult in some areas.
Held on the third Sunday of every month
Talbot Farmers’ Market began in 2004 as one of the earliest farmers’ markets in regional Victoria, supporting local and regional farmers, growers and artisan food producers.
It remains proudly community-based, and continues to draw thousands of visitors to Talbot each month. Talbot (population approximately 350) is 40 minutes north of Ballarat and 90 minutes from Melbourne’s Westgate Bridge.
Be early—fresh food sells fast! Open from 9.00am to 1.00 pm.
Open to the community every Saturday from 9am-12pm.
We offer a variety of products, from freshly baked sourdough and local milk, right through to delicious cheeses and artisan jams.
Our mission is to create a resilient, local food economy, that unites local producers with loyal customers, right here in Gordon. Our not for profit, registered incorporated association aims to establish a volunteer-run store to retail produce from the local area, such as meat, vegetables, fruit, preserves, nuts and eggs. We want to help farmers and producers from within a 100km radius (excluding metro Melbourne) sell their products directly to the public from a single location.
Third Saturday of every month in the town square, showcases the finest fresh and seasonal produce from the region. The farmers’ market has a selection of local dairy produce, honey, eggs, live poultry, preserves, potatoes, sourdough breads, olive products, fresh flowers and organic wines.

We hope you have a great experience visiting our market! Thanks for supporting our hardworking and creative stallholders who bring such a wide range of fabulous produce & products to the market.
Second Sunday of the Month, from 9am to 2pm.
